Who will remember me? 2 - Youth for Endangered Species

Do you know that on average around three species disappear on our Planet every hour?
Young people from six countries gathered on the project “Youth for Endangered Species” to discuss and learn about endangered species in Europe. One of the outcomes of this project is this brochure. It contains some basic information about the facts that people by their activities endanger many animals and plants species and have already brought many to extinction! In this brochure the following endangered species are described: European Mink and Brown Bear – sadly, often someone’s coats, Griffon Vulture – the last of the species of vultures and often hunters’ target, Ohrid Trout - target of selfish gourmands and poachers, White-tailed eagle – victim of forests and waters destroyings.
Brief description:
At the very beginning of this publication, the term "endangered species" is explained. Also, it is explained what threatens some animal species. Then, some endangered species in Europe are represented.Physical features, characteristics, habitats and threats to the named species are described. Described species: Griffon Vulture, Brown Bear,Great Bustard, Salmo Letnica, European Mink and White-tailed eagle. At the end, it is explained why it is important to preserve biodiversity and how it can be achieved.
Also, organizations that participated in the project are described, as well as the project and activities that were implemented within. The coordinator of the project was "Environment Engineering Group".
