Together Towards Sustainable Development

The project proposal “Together towards sustainable development in Serbia“ is a joint initiative of six organizations and five interested parties that deal with the questions of energy efficiency and waters protection. Via many different activities, the synergy of partners and interested parties will make a long lasting and thematically orientated partnership, strengthening the role of organizations of civil society - OCD and raising the level of conscious about energy efficiency and waters protection.

The propose of the project is achieving sustainable urban development and providing better life conditions in Serbia through strengthening the role of OCD and improvement of their effects in making decisions about rational usage of energy and waters protection. The project covers the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and central Serbia with the emphasis on the cities of Novi Sad and Kragujevac.

The project will contribute to realizing planned aims via lobbying, meetings, educative activities and the media campaign.


The project manager is "Environment Engineering Group" that will, in cooperation with 5 partner organizations and the support of six interested parties, realize the project.

Partners in the project are:

- “OKC KG youth sector” - Kragujevac

- “Eko life” - Kragujevac

- The Community of organizations of students of ecology and the environment protection – “ZOSEKIZA” - Novi Sad

- Developing fund for the youth - Novi Sad

- The fund for local development and democracy - Novi Sad

 

The project was supported by the following interested parties:

  Group for sustainable development

- Provincial Secretariat for environment protection and sustainable development  

- South Bačka administrative district

- Students cultural center Novi Sad

- Public communal company "Vode Vojvodine" (“Waters of Vojvodina”)

- Radio - Television of Vojvodina

 

The project will be financed via the program SECTOR 2, which is implemented by “Regional Center for Environment Protection”, thanks to the financial support of “Sweden Agency for International Development and Cooperation – SIDA”.
