Mobile laboratory for testing surface waters condition
Within the project “Think Globally, Measure and Educate Locally“, that was done in 2008 thanks to the support of the Ministry for environment protection and the Provincial Secretariat for environment protection and sustainable development, a mobile laboratory for testing surface waters condition was equipped and open for work.
The project “Think Globally, Measure and Educate Locally“ was a follow-up of the project “I Grew Up By The River of Danube...“ in 2007 that was done by “Environment Engineering Group“. This project was successfully done with cooperation with the Intercultural centre “Brod Teatar“ (“Ship Theater“), Rotaract Club Novi Sad, Students cultural centre – Novi Sad, organization ARCI, Developing Fund for the Youth and Organization “Radovi u toku“ (“Ongoing Works“) and with the support o the Provincial Secretariat for environment protection and sustainable development and the Provincial Secretariat for sport and the youth .
The aim of the project were MONITORING of the surface waters condition at the places that were not in the regular monitoring system of Republic Hydrometeorological Service, EDUCATION of the local citizens and young people at the places where the sampling would take place, PROMOTION of protection and improvement of waters condition and watercourses in Serbia and IMPLEMENTATION of Aarhus convention in practice at local level.
The mobile laboratory was placed on the “BROD TEATAR“ (“THEATER SHIP“) and on its sailing along the WATERWAYS OF VOJVODINA IN 2008, the following results were gathered.
