Partnership Building Activity - Youth as Main Power of Sustainable Development in Europe

Partnership Building Activity “Youth as Main Power of Sustainable Development in Europe” was implemented in Serbia on the mountain of Rudnik from the 13th to 19th of December 2009. The main themes of the project were raising European awareness and Urban/Rural development and a special focus was on sustainable development. Youth leaders and youth workers from 23 organizations from 14 countries participated in the project. In a course of six days they had an opportunity to raise their awareness about sustainable development and discuss the philosophy related to sustainable development as a tool for fostering active participation of young people in sustainable development of urban/rural areas and raising European awareness among these groups.

Youth Exchange - "Youth activity 4 sustainability" 23 April - 01. May 2011. Serbia

Dear Friends,

With this letter we would like to invite you to participate in Youth Exchange “Youth activity 4 sustainability" that planed is to be held from 23 April – 01. May 2011. in beautiful mountains of Serbia.

A main theme of this youth exchange is environment protection by active participation of youth people. Main focus will be on promoting active

participation of youth in environment protection and concrete environmental actions which can be implemented by youth in local community.

We are looking for partner organization that:
   Is located and acts in Member States of European Union (plus Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Turkey) or in South East Europe

(Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Montenegro)
   Has the status of NGO
   Is interested in the topic of the project
   Is able and ready for efficient cooperation and participation in project

Each partner organization will be represented in Youth exchange by 4 youth people and one youth leader.

Youth people participating in Youth exchange need to:
   Be between the age of 18-25
   Be interested in environmental protection and nature
   Know English (to be able to communicate with other participants)
   Be ready to actively participate in Youth exchange and intercultural learning
Cost cover by project:
   70 % of actual travel cost from home to the venue of the project. Use of the cheapest means and fares (APEX airfare, 2nd class train

ticket, bus)
   Accommodation and food
   Materials for work
   Excursions

Working language: English

Date: 23.04. - 01.05.2011.

Venue: beautiful mountain in Serbia

Youth Exchange will be applied to “Youth in Action” programme by “Environment Engineering Group” from Serbia.
